Let’s think about it, no matter what fancy car, house or brilliant career we might have, if we feel tired, or stressed, or if we have any health issues, we cannot really enjoy our life.
I didn’t use to pay too much attention to what I was eating, or what I was putting on my skin, but now I have a very different way of looking at things. I guess that when you study the amazing human body you do realise that it would be a shame not to take care of it in a proper way.
When you pay a bit more to buy organic food just think that you have invested in yourself. Keep away from those pesticides and chemicals that can mess up our hormones (and not only).
When you spend time preparing your fresh meals, knowing exactly what ingredients are in your food, that is another huge investment in yourself.
When you pay for a gym membership, or spend time exercising, you have made another great investment in yourself. We are not designed to sit 8 hours a day, or to be fairly static throughout the day. Our muscles, bones, heart, brain need us to exercise in order to have more energy, strengthen our immune system, help all that lymph flowing, all those endorphins releasing.
When you book a consultation with a therapist to have a personalised nutrition and lifestyle plan tailored to your needs, it is another brilliant investment in yourself.
When you spend a bit more money to have a water filter that will remove all the nasty things from the water, just think you have invested in yourself; your cells will be happy to be hydrated with pure water.
When you invest in some lovely superfoods that can have so many health benefits…yeap, you’ve guessed it - it’s another investment in yourself.
And the list could go on and on.
So, next time you have the option to take care of your health and wellbeing, think of it as an investment rather than an expense! I'm sure it will be the best investment you can make :)
Be happy and be healthy!
